for the bride to be: emily
We have had SO many brides ask us where to buy the "details" they see in our pictures....
Details truly make your day 1000x prettier, so we're happy to help source items that will fit your day!
I'm such a visual person - so I find lists help! So here are some options for details and ways to make your wedding EPIC.
You can click on the image to find the source to most of them! :)
INVITATION GUIDE
Our favourite kinds of invitations to photograph - are neutral, beautiful with detailing. Go for a CHEAP option (invitations can be in the thousands!) as your guests will inevitably bin your invitation, so don't break the bank - go for simple and pretty, and then try our trick below!
STEP ONE:
You already have your invitations printed? No problem! Skip to the next step below!
- OR -
Make your own invitations on Minted or opt for a simple invite like these on Etsy: (links attached)
STEP TWO:
Now get ONLY ONE fancy invitation made.
Your "real" invitation can be anything: simple, plain, and inexpensive. Instead, create one "keepsake" invitation with an artist! :)
Have a calligrapher or wedding invitation designer make you ONE full invitation suite for us
to PHOTOGRAPH on the morning of your wedding!
Way less expensive ...but very important for our storytelling!
We highly recommend Plume Calligraphy - she is the best in the biz and does this very thing! She is our definite favourite! Simply describe your wedding style and colours to her - she'll do the rest and come up with something BEAUTIFUL.
WHAT IS IDEAL FOR PHOTOS? An invitation "suite" typically has an envelope, rsvp card, return mini envelope, a wax seal, perhaps name cards, perhaps a map or illustration connecting to your theme. Your Calligrapher will know what to include! Email Aileen of Plume and she will know what to do once you describe your wedding! OR You can also write Mikaelee at Flourish Artistic Design, she does affordable, beautiful work!
WHERE TO BUY MORNING OUTFITS:
ROBES & PJ's
I would highly recommend intentionally wearing a cute "getting ready" outfit as we'll be taking lots of pictures in the morning!

- Bohemian Romper
- Mute Colours Romper

If you need more suggestions, let me know! Thank you for taking it seriously and knowing the details are worthwhile -
it's literally ALL in the details when it comes to our photos! The more textures, items, trays - the better!
If you guys feel like a trip to vintage or thrift shops - sometimes there are cheap great trays, decanters and coup glasses!
I really hope this all helps!
HAIRSTYLE COMPARISONS:
updos, loose waves, and even chic ponies...
Some visuals side by side can sometimes help sway your decision making - let me know if you need more help or an extra opinion for photographs! Whatever you do... not TOO much hairspray!! Helmet hair isn't as romantic as soft waves, haha!

A BIT OF A BANG...
PETALS, SPARKLERS & CONFETTI
YES! My favourite category! It can be difficult to know where to find these things - let us help you source!

PETAL TOSS:
So effective, and so HAPPY! Guests LOVE having finding something to toss on their ceremony chairs. It's a fun not costly surprise and makes for epic photos! All it takes is a simple instruction from the Officiant before you walk down the aisle! "Get those petals ready..."
WHERE TO BUY:
#1 FRESH PETALS
Ask your florist to provide a bucket of petals;
Even more affordable if you only do the aisle seats with petals!
(or ) #2 DRIED PETALS ONLINE
You can now buy freeze dried petals here! The best! You don't have to bother your florist, you can get them early, and they "toss" the best as they have more weight to them than a paper petal!

ECO-FRIENDLY CONFETTI toss:
The best kind of send-off as you walk back down the aisle as husband + wife!!
WHERE TO BUY ECOFETTI
ECOFETTI - Online
No venue can complain about this confetti as it's biodegrades! It's also water-soluble, non-toxic, non-staining, and biodegradable and washes away within a day!

handheld CONFETTI 'CANnONS'
For dances and the party! They are actually just tube "poppers"! We had a cannons at our very own wedding and it was INCREDIBLE! It brought the dance to a whole new level + energy! We bought 3; we set 2 off when the dance got started and 1 later in the evening to space them out!
WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS.
WHERE TO BUY 'CANNONS'
ROCKET FIREWORKS in Toronto
They make for AMAZING photos!
They are a whopping 10 bucks
You can get these in White (our choice), Blue, Red or Silver!
http://www.rocketfireworks.ca/1c-confetti.html
Important NOTE:
Do not ask the permission of your venue (how scandalous!) - they will surely say not to - however they always vacuum the dancefloor NO MATTER WHAT. Our own venue loved having them and wanted to use the photos afterwards; despite their no confetti policy. You will not get kicked out. LOL.

SPARKLERS:
SUCH a fun way to round out the night! These never get old. Choose to either involve only your wedding party, or all of your guests!
WHERE TO BUY SPARKLERS
ROCKET FIREWORKS in Toronto
Make sure to get long-lasting ones! The Dollar Store versions fizzle out within 5-15 seconds, not enough time to light everyone's sparkler a have them all lit at once!
